Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia, Luxury hotel in Center City, Philadelphia, US.
The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia occupies a neoclassical structure with a domed rotunda, blue glass curtain walls, and 30 floors of refined spaces. The complex integrates three connected buildings creating a mixed-use development that blends hotel, residential, and public areas.
The building began in 1908 as Girard Trust Company headquarters, designed by architect Frank Furness drawing inspiration from Rome's Pantheon. Its transformation into a luxury hotel complex marked a significant revival of this historic financial center.
The original banking hall now functions as an upscale restaurant and ballroom, preserving its ornate architectural details while serving contemporary Latin American fare to guests and diners.
The hotel sits in Center City, Philadelphia's business district, with convenient access to transit hubs and downtown attractions. It offers extensive meeting spaces and a Club Lounge on the 30th floor for guest use.
The building features a domed rotunda with stained glass windows modeled after Rome's Pantheon, creating a dramatic entrance space. This architectural element remains visible to visitors and is among the most valuable design features of the complex.
