War in the Pacific National Historical Park, National Historical Park and Military Museum in Hagåtña, Guam.

War in the Pacific National Historical Park preserves World War II battle sites and military structures spread across seven locations on Guam. The grounds contain gun emplacements, trenches, tunnels, and fortifications from the Pacific Theater campaign.

Japanese forces took control of Guam in 1941 and occupied the island for 3 years. American forces reclaimed it in 1944 through major operations at Asan Beach and Agat, which were key moments in the Pacific campaign.

The visitor center displays stories from both soldiers and local residents who lived through World War II on Guam. The exhibits show how the war shaped life on the island for everyone involved.

The park consists of seven separate units scattered across the island that you can visit independently. Guided tours and educational programs are available to help you understand the sites and their stories.

A Memorial Wall lists the names of every American service member and Guam civilian who died during the conflict. This tribute ensures that both soldiers and local people are remembered equally.
