Dr. George W. Carr House, National Register of Historic Places single-family home in College Hill, Providence, United States.

The Dr. George W. Carr House stands at the intersection of Waterman Street and Benefit Street, featuring Queen Anne architectural elements from 1885.

Architect Edward I. Nickerson designed this residence, drawing from his substantial architectural library developed through connections with the Brown family.

The Rhode Island School of Design acquired the property in 1916, transforming it into a student cafe and lounge known as Carr Haus.

Located at 29 Waterman Street, the building includes a separate entrance that originally served as Dr. Carr's medical office.

The Providence Engineering Society occupied the entire second floor of the building in 1916, marking an early phase of institutional use.
