Mansfield Memorial Museum

Mansfield Memorial Museum is a history museum in Mansfield that spans two floors with objects from many different time periods. The displays range from early human artifacts through modern technological inventions and military equipment.

The museum was founded in 1889, making it the oldest educational institution in Richland County. Its connections to the Smithsonian Institute helped it build an respected collection.

Visit the museum on weekends, as it is open only on Saturdays and Sundays for the public. The entrance is on Park Avenue West, where you can easily find parking near the building.

A robot named ELEKTRO, one of the first in America, stands in the museum and draws visitors. This robot was built for the 1939 World's Fair and shows how people imagined the future over 80 years ago.
