St. Mary's Church, Catholic church in downtown New Haven, United States

The stone church on Hillhouse Avenue features Gothic architecture with a 179-foot spire and stained glass windows illuminating its interior halls.

St. Mary's Church, established in 1832 as Christ Church Parish, received its current name in 1848 and stands as the oldest Catholic parish in New Haven.

Father Michael McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary's Church in 1882, creating an organization that supports widows and children of working men.

The church offers daily mass at noon, confessions on Saturday mornings, and two Sunday masses at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM for the local community.

The remains of Father Michael McGivney rest within the church walls since 1982, making it a destination for Knights of Columbus members worldwide.
