Red Mill Museum Village

Red Mill Museum Village is an open-air museum with 12 historic buildings arranged along a river and showcasing daily life from past times. An adjacent stone quarry is part of the complex and adds to the collection of structures related to the region's industrial heritage.

The museum began in the early 1960s when local residents gathered historic buildings to preserve the region's past, and it expanded shortly after with the addition of a quarry. These beginnings reflect a community's effort to protect its industrial heritage.

The buildings showcase craftsmanship and daily routines from earlier times, with a blacksmith shop and schoolhouse still displaying their original furnishings. Visitors can observe how people in this region worked and lived as they walk through these authentic spaces.
