The Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile is a high-rise hotel on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, Illinois. The tower rises above the surrounding blocks, and the ground-floor lobby opens directly onto the street, with a front desk, seating areas, and access to the elevators leading to the guest floors above.
The hotel opened in 1978 and was one of the first large hotel towers built directly on the Magnificent Mile. Over the following decades it went through several rounds of renovation, updating the guest rooms and common areas to reflect changing expectations.
