Cầu Bông, Steel bridge in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Cầu Bông is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Saigon River and connecting two districts in the city. The structure provides multiple lanes for vehicles alongside separate paths for motorcycles and pedestrians.
The bridge was built between 2007 and 2009 and marked an important step in the city's modern infrastructure development. International collaboration on this project influenced building techniques across the region.
The bridge design incorporates modern Vietnamese engineering principles while serving as a symbol of infrastructure development in Ho Chi Minh City.
The bridge is always open to traffic and directly connects the eastern and western parts of the city. Visitors can cross it on foot or simply walk along it to enjoy the river views.
The two towers are each approximately 145 meters tall and support a central span of about 380 meters. This cable support system makes it a technical landmark visible from many riverbank areas.
