Siddiqa Fatima Zahra Mosque, Mosque in Abdullah Mubarak district, Kuwait.
Siddiqa Fatima Zahra Mosque is a mosque in Abdullah Mubarak featuring nine domes, with a central dome standing 22 meters (72 feet) tall and measuring 16 meters (52 feet) across. Four minarets rise around the structure, which includes separate prayer spaces designed for different groups of worshippers.
Work began on the structure in February 2008 and finished three years later in June 2011. A member of parliament funded the project, reflecting its importance to the local community.
The prayer halls reveal influences from Iran and India through their marble decoration and design choices. Visitors notice how the artistic traditions of these regions shape the way the building looks and feels inside.
The structure provides prayer spaces for different visitor groups and a parking area accommodating many vehicles nearby. Its location near the airport makes it easy to reach by car from different parts of the city.
The building copies design elements from the Taj Mahal, using white and light brown marble types imported from Iran. The architectural approach was created with specific approval from an embassy abroad.
