Balka Pivnichna Botanical Sanctuary

Balka Pivnichna is a protected natural area in eastern Ukraine that covers a significant expanse of land with different plant communities. The site displays typical vegetation patterns of the Donetsk region, including some species that are legally protected.

Three plant species found here are listed in the Ukrainian Red Book as endangered, including Centaurea talievii and a feather grass species. These rare plants thrive in their natural setting, showing how valuable this protected space is for their survival.
