Taconic Mountains Ramble State Park

The park extends across 204 acres of mountain terrain, featuring forest paths, waterfalls, meadows, cliffs, and walking trails through varied environments.

Carson 'Kit' Davidson and his wife purchased this land in 1966, developing trails and gardens before donating the property to Vermont state in 2016.

The Japanese garden includes footbridges, meditation spots, stone arrangements, and water features that reflect traditional Eastern design principles.

Visitors can access marked trails with red and yellow blazes throughout the year without entrance fees, with parking available near the information building.

The eastern section provides gentle family walks while western paths present technical challenges with steep climbs through rocky mountain terrain.
