Seaburst House

The Seaburst House features a catwalk and large windows that provide views of the Pacific Ocean and rocky shoreline at 26200 Scenic Road.

Built in 1919 and reconstructed in 1953 by architect Francis W. Wynkoop, the structure was originally named Col. Dutton's House and later nicknamed The Warehouse.

The residence represents the mid-century modern movement's principles through its integration with nature and emphasis on clean architectural lines along the California coast.

The building incorporates heated water pipes beneath the wooden floors, offering an efficient heating system throughout the living spaces during cold seasons.

Local poet Robinson Jeffers referred to this coastal property as The Castle, acknowledging its notable position among Carmel Point's architectural collection.
