Golden Wings in Snowfield, Roller coaster in Beijing
Golden Wings in Snowfield is a steel inverted roller coaster in Happy Valley Beijing, built by Vekoma, where the track runs above and riders hang below with legs dangling. The coaster stretches 750 meters, reaches 36 meters high, and features four inversions including a loop, cobra roll, and zero-G roll, with speeds reaching 86 kilometers per hour.
The ride opened in 2006 and has been operating continuously since then. Vekoma designed it as an inverted looping coaster, establishing this ride as a signature experience for the park.
The ride draws the largest crowds on weekends and holidays when wait times increase significantly. Visit on weekdays if you prefer shorter lines and a more relaxed experience.
Vekoma built only two coasters of this specific type with the Shenlin w/Helix design, and this is one of them. The name references snowy regions and connects the ride to wintery imagery, adding a thematic layer to the experience.
