Hans-Rosbaud-Studio, Concert hall and recording studio in Baden-Baden, Germany.
The Hans-Rosbaud-Studio was a concert hall and recording facility in Baden-Baden designed to seat around 360 people. Its rooms contained architectural features specifically planned for recording quality and clear acoustics.
The building was constructed in 1950 originally as Studio 5 at Funkhöhe on Fremersberg. It received its current name in 1962 following the death of conductor Hans Rosbaud.
The name honors conductor Hans Rosbaud, whose work shaped the venue's identity. Visitors experienced a space designed specifically for classical music performances and radio broadcasting.
The facility was open for concert visitors but had limited capacity due to its size. Final performances occurred in 2023, after which the venue closed to the public.
A Wolfgang Scherpf organ from 1969 was long part of the studio and contributed to its sound quality. The instrument was transferred to Austria in 2020 for restoration work.
