The Dolgoch quarry features multiple adits carved into the hillside, with exposed rock faces and remnants of mining infrastructure throughout the site.
Operations at Dolgoch quarry began in January 1877 and continued until April 1884, focusing on the extraction of slate from three distinct veins.
The quarry represents the Welsh slate industry that employed generations of local workers and shaped the development of communities in Gwynedd.
