Portrush Town Hall

Portrush Town Hall is a three-story red brick building featuring a distinctive turret and curved walls with varied window sizes across its asymmetrical frontage. The structure contains a large assembly room and sits prominently on Mark Street in the town center.

The building was commissioned in 1872 by local businessmen to serve as a town hall and assembly center for the growing community. Its construction reflected Portrush's prosperity and development during the Victorian era.

The assembly room hosts performances and local events in front of an audience of around 500 people. It serves as the town's cultural center where theatrical productions, concerts, and community gatherings take place.

The assembly room can be rented for various events through booking requests to Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council. The building's central location on Mark Street makes it easy to find and access for visitors.

The building underwent comprehensive restoration in 2005 that brought it back to life while keeping its Victorian character intact. This careful renewal shows how older structures can be updated for modern use.
