Kyungpook National University Museum
Kyungpook National University Museum on the campus in Daegu displays artifacts from different periods of regional history, ranging from ancient tools to modern university documents. The collection includes archaeological finds from local excavations as well as exhibits that document the institution's development over decades.
The museum was founded in 1959 and has served since then to document the university's history and the region's archaeological heritage. Its collections grew through excavations and donations, tracing the development of both the institution and the local community across multiple generations.
The museum reflects the university's role as a center for historical learning and preservation. Visitors can observe how the institution has served as a place for understanding regional heritage and sharing knowledge about the area's past.
The museum is free to enter and located on the university grounds, which are easily accessible by public transit or car. Plan for about one hour to walk through, though photography may be restricted in some areas to protect the artifacts.
On the fourth floor there is a quiet viewing room where visitors can watch educational videos about Korean and Chinese history. This space offers a welcome break from exploring and allows for reflection on what has been seen.
