The Joinery
The Joinery is a converted factory building in downtown Lakeland that now functions as a food hall with multiple local vendors. The space features high ceilings, large windows, and an open layout where visitors can move between different food stalls offering everything from ramen and tacos to pizza and ice cream.
The building originally operated as the Lakeland Brewing Company starting in 2005, serving craft beers alongside simple foods like hot dogs. It has since been renovated to become a modern gathering space while preserving structural elements from its factory past.
The name refers to its past as a carpentry workshop space. Inside, bright colors like orange and teal combine with decorative patterns and breezblock walls that reflect a relaxed, unpretentious approach to gathering and eating.
The building sits next to Lake Mirror in downtown Lakeland with nearby street and lot parking options, plus public transportation access. Hours typically run from late morning until late evening, with extended hours on weekends, making it convenient for multiple meal times throughout the day.
The space houses specialized vendors like Sabu Ramen featuring rich broth and tender pork belly, and Mayday Ice Cream with creative flavors served in salty pretzel cones. The rotating vendor lineup means each visit can reveal different food discoveries as local makers regularly change their offerings.
