Amba hotels
Amba hotels is a modern boutique hotel in the east part of Taipei, close to the train and metro stations. The building has 189 rooms spread across floors 19 to 21, with large windows offering views of Taipei 101 or the Keelung River.
The hotel opened in summer 2016 as part of a growing hotel chain in Taiwan with a modern design philosophy. The building maintains a fresh, polished appearance with contemporary styling that sets it apart from older accommodations.
The name 'amba' reflects a clean and stylish approach to hospitality. Rooms feature artwork from local Taiwanese artists, and each is themed around a specific year or historical moment, celebrating local creativity within the guest experience.
The reception is located on the 17th floor with spacious common areas, offering free WiFi and a free shuttle to nearby Taipei 101. The hotel has a small fitness center and self-service laundry facilities open around the clock.
Each room is decorated with a unique year-based theme, such as images from events like the FIFA World Cup or portraits of historical figures. Additionally, the large lights in the lobby and restaurant were handcrafted by local Taiwanese artists and took two weeks each to create.
