Nigloland, Theme park and crêperie in Dolancourt, France
Nigloland is a theme park in Dolancourt, France, spreading across 40 hectares and divided into four themed zones. The site includes 43 rides ranging from carousels to roller coasters, plus several restaurants and snack stands.
Two brothers opened the park in 1987 with just a few rides and American models in mind. Since then, the site has grown steadily, adding new attractions and themed areas over time.
The name comes from a Romani word for hedgehog, an animal common in the local woodlands. Visitors find regional food options alongside rides that evoke North American and Alpine landscapes.
Entry usually begins in the late morning and closes in the late afternoon, with exact times varying by season. It helps to arrive on weekdays to avoid longer waits at the most popular rides.
One of the rides is a rotating free-fall tower standing over 295 feet (90 meters) tall, among the tallest of its kind worldwide. The ride spins as it climbs and offers views over the surrounding countryside before the drop begins.
