Casey Moore's Oyster House, Irish restaurant and bar in Old Town Tempe, United States.
Casey Moore's Oyster House is a seafood and oyster bar and restaurant in a two-story wood-frame house at the corner of 9th Street and Ash Street in Tempe, Arizona. The building has several indoor rooms spread across both floors, along with an outdoor seating area in the garden.
The building was constructed in 1910 as a private home for the Moeur family and is one of the oldest remaining houses in Tempe. It was turned into a restaurant in 1973 and has stayed in continuous use since then.
Casey Moore's sits close to Arizona State University and draws a mix of professors, students, and neighbors throughout the day. It works as a meeting point after classes or after work, where different kinds of people end up at the same tables.
The place is open every day and stays open late on weekends. Evenings and weekends tend to be busy, so arriving early or being ready to wait a bit is a good idea.
The house is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in Arizona, with staff and visitors reporting moving furniture and unexplained lights in the upstairs windows for decades. These stories have become part of how the place is known around town.
