Arizona State University Art Museum

The Arizona State University Art Museum is an art museum in Tempe that displays contemporary work by local, national, and international artists. Exhibition spaces spread across multiple areas where painting, photography, sculpture, and digital media sit alongside each other.

The museum grew out of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and was created as a place to advance artistic education. Over decades, it evolved through changing exhibitions and supports the artistic development of the university.

The space showcases work that engages with current social topics and gives emerging artists a place to show their work. Exhibitions bring together different art forms and create a dialogue between established and new artistic voices.

Visitors can come by on weekday and weekend afternoons, with Thursday staying open later into the evening. Entry is straightforward and there is plenty of time to explore the collections at an easy pace.

The museum has four galleries reserved entirely for student work and showing new perspectives regularly. These spaces give young artists an early chance to present their work to a wide audience.
