Founded in 1961 by George F. Getz Jr in Wisconsin, the museum relocated to Phoenix in 1974, expanding its collection of firefighting artifacts and equipment.
The National Firefighting Hall of Heroes section honors firefighters who died in service and recognizes individuals for their acts of bravery.
Museum admission costs 17 dollars for adults, 15 dollars for seniors and students, with group rates available for parties of ten or more visitors.
The museum maintains operational vintage fire trucks that participate in local parades and community events throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
