Starbucks Reserve, Premium coffee destination on Michigan Avenue, Chicago, US.
Starbucks Reserve is a five-story café on Michigan Avenue that stands as one of the largest Starbucks locations worldwide. The building features a 56-foot central coffee bean cask, multiple brewing stations, and a local roaster where visitors can watch coffee production.
The location opened in November 2019 and marked a milestone in the company's global expansion. This opening came about 48 years after the company's founding in Seattle and shows its growth from a small café into an international brand.
The building displays a large mural by Chicago artist Eulojio Ortega that shows the journey of coffee beans from different countries around the world. Visitors can see this artwork while moving through the floors and learn about where coffee comes from.
The location offers full wheelchair accessibility, making it easy for all visitors to move through the space. Multiple areas throughout the building allow visitors to spend time at their own pace and explore different levels.
The fourth floor houses a cocktail bar where bartenders craft beverages infused with coffee flavors. The rooftop level offers views overlooking Michigan Avenue and provides a place to relax.
