The National Museum of the Romanian Peasant

The National Museum of the Romanian Peasant exhibits a collection of 100,000 traditional objects, including textiles, ceramics, furniture, and religious artifacts.

The museum building, completed in 1941, represents Neo-Romanian architectural style with red brick walls, large arched windows, and tower features.

The collections document rural Romanian life through costumes, interior decorations, woodwork, and an archive of 60,000 photographs depicting peasant traditions.

Museum entrance fees are 12 lei for adults, 3 lei for children and students, 6 lei for seniors, with visiting hours from Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-18:00.

The museum grounds include an eighteenth-century wooden church that was transported and reconstructed in the courtyard during 1992.
