Museo Aeroespacial Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana, Military aviation museum in Tocancipá, Colombia.
The Museo Aeroespacial Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana is a military aviation museum located in Tocancipá, north of Bogotá, with fighter jets, transport planes, helicopters, and missiles on display. The collection is split between two covered halls and an open outdoor area where the largest aircraft are parked.
The museum was created to document how the Colombian Air Force grew from its earliest propeller aircraft to the jet age and beyond. Each generation of aircraft in the collection marks a different chapter in that progression.
The museum draws visitors who want to see real aircraft up close rather than read about them in books. School groups often visit, and it is one of the few places in the country where aviation history feels tangible and direct.
The museum is located along the road toward Zipaquirá and has parking available on site. Because part of the visit takes place outdoors, it is worth dressing in layers to handle changing weather.
Some of the aircraft on display were restored after actual service in Colombian Air Force operations, not built as museum pieces. Standing next to a plane that flew real missions gives the visit a different weight than looking at a replica.
