WOW Museum

The WOW Museum is an art space in downtown Zurich that focuses on perception games and optical illusions. It spreads across multiple levels with rooms that use geometric forms and surfaces to confuse visitors and make them reconsider how they see.

The museum opened as Zurich's first institution dedicated to interactive perception games. It brought this innovative approach to art to the city and lets visitors directly experience art concepts instead of just viewing them.

The museum displays digital art installations that reveal how our eyes understand space and perspective. Visitors can directly experience how their perception shifts when moving through cleverly designed rooms.

Many photos here only work perfectly from a specific viewpoint, so visitors actively hunt for the right positions. This hunt for the perfect shot is itself part of the experience and makes each visit personally different.
