Terroni, Italian restaurant in Old Toronto, Canada

Terroni is an Italian restaurant spread across multiple floors of a former courthouse building, featuring dining areas with high ceilings, fireplaces, and a garden patio. Each space has its own character and works for both intimate meals and larger gatherings.

The restaurant opened its first location in 1992 on Queen Street West and later expanded to several locations, including the historic York County Courthouse built in 1852. The courthouse was transformed into a dining destination while preserving the building's past.

The kitchen maintains Italian culinary traditions by sourcing ingredients directly from Italy and preparing regional dishes according to authentic methods. Diners experience the craftsmanship that goes into every plate.

The venue provides several spaces suited for private events, ranging from small gatherings to large celebrations. Guests should explore the different levels to find the best location for their needs.

The dining area on the third floor, Il Covo degli Artisti, occupies the space where members of The Group of Seven gathered in 1909. These Canadian landscape painters used the room regularly for their meetings and conversations.
