Longosphere Glamping
Longosphere Glamping is an accommodation site in the heart of the Longoz Forests near İğneada, offering luxury tents set among tall trees and wooden structures that blend into the surroundings. It features two tent types: the Turtle Tent with approximately 25 square meters including a private bathroom and porch, and the Squirrel Tent with a simple triangle shape using shared facilities, plus a restaurant, outdoor pool, and the Happy Sapiens Adventure Park obstacle course.
Longosphere Glamping opened in 2020, building on a concept that traces back to ancient times when kings and rulers used specially equipped tents with home comforts for their travels and hunts. This historical idea of comfortable outdoor living inspired modern glamping, which has since become a travel style sought by people around the world.
The name Longosphere combines Longoz, referring to the forest area, with Sphere, meaning round shape. This creative naming highlights the deep connection to the nearby woods and reflects how the place sits within its natural surroundings.
The location is some distance from major cities like Istanbul and Ankara but is easily reached by car and suits those seeking to escape city life. There is an entrance area with small shops called Kasaba where you can purchase snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and basic supplies like bread or meat, plus a barbecue area for self-catering.
A special activity is renting a canoe from Mert Lake to explore deeper parts of the forest, offering a feeling of solitude surrounded by tall trees and wildlife sounds. Paddling through calm waters provides a different perspective on the woods and creates a memorable outdoor experience that many visitors find transformative.
