İğneada Longoz Forest National Park

The national park features five lakes, marshes, swamps, and coastal sand dunes spread across 3,155 hectares along the Black Sea shore.

The national park received official designation in 2007, following years of environmental studies documenting its rare floodplain ecosystem characteristics.

Local guides from the Laz community lead nature tours through the park, sharing their knowledge of the regional flora and fauna.

Visitors can reach the park via public transportation from Istanbul through Silivri, Çorlu, and Lüleburgaz or by car using motorway O.3.

The forest floods seasonally, creating a submerged woodland where European ash, oak, alder, beech, and maple trees grow in water-rich soil.
