La Villita spans a square block along San Antonio River Walk, containing limestone buildings, adobe structures, and Victorian-style architecture from different periods.
The settlement began as a military outpost near the Alamo in the 1700s before evolving into a residential neighborhood for Spanish soldiers.
The district houses 25 art galleries and craft shops where local artists create and sell paintings, pottery, textiles, and jewelry.
The arts village opens Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Cos House within La Villita serves as an event venue, featuring original architectural elements from the Texas Revolution period.
