Marriott Rivercenter, Skyscraper in San Antonio, United States
The Marriott Rivercenter rises 546 feet into the San Antonio skyline with 38 floors, making it the tallest building in the Texas city.
The building opened in 1988 as part of the River Walk development project, transforming the downtown area into a commercial and tourism center.
The architectural design by RTKL Associates incorporates elements reflecting the bell towers of Mission Concepcion and Cathedral of San Fernando.
The structure connects directly to Rivercenter Mall through two levels and provides immediate access to the River Walk for shopping and dining.
The building stands three feet taller than the Weston Centre at its tip height, while maintaining a shorter roof height of 441 feet.
