Technotown, Technology museum and education center in Villa Torlonia, Rome, Italy.

Technotown is an education center with hands-on technological experiences located within the historic Villa Torlonia in Rome. The facility features multiple dedicated spaces where visitors work directly with technology and explore practical scientific concepts.

The center opened in 2006 and transformed a historic villa into a place focused on science and technology education for young people. This conversion shows how an old building gained new purpose and became part of modern learning.

The space offers workshops in photography, audio production, and video creation that connect traditional and modern ways of sharing stories. Visitors explore how people use different techniques to communicate and express themselves today.

The center is open Tuesday through Sunday and offers guided activities for visitors aged 12 and above. Plan time for hands-on workshops, and note that it closes on Mondays.

The facility contains the world's first Podcast House with exhibits about the history of digital storytelling. This specialized section traces how podcasting evolved as a way for people to share ideas.
