Remember, Coastal beach and locality in Mimizan, France
Remember extends north of Mimizan's town center along the Atlantic coast with high dunes and a wide sandy shoreline. The water and sand form a long, open coastal section that continues northward along the French coast.
The beach took its name from Villa Remember, a white house with green trim built on the dunes overlooking the sea. This building shaped the location's identity through its distinctive position along the coast.
The northern section is used by people who practice naturism and surf here, revealing how the beach maintains a relaxed and open character for different visitors.
Two parking areas serve the beach: one along Avenue de la Côte d'Argent and another near Rue Belvédère. Lifeguards are on duty to help ensure visitor safety, especially during the warmer months.
The ship Réveil-Matin sank offshore in 1859, and five sailors were buried in Mimizan. Few visitors know this story, though it marked an important moment in the area's past.
