稲積水中鍾乳洞

The Inazumi Underwater Cave consists of two main branches extending over 500 meters through limestone formations beneath the mountains of Oita Prefecture.

The cave system formed 300 million years ago during the Paleozoic era and submerged following the Aso volcanic eruption 300,000 years ago.

The site integrates with Japanese garden traditions through the adjacent Buddha Garden, housing religious statues and traditional landscape designs.

Visitors can explore the cave daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with facilities including a 300-car parking lot and restaurants serving regional specialties.

The cave offers Japan's only underwater cave diving experiences, allowing certified divers to explore submerged limestone formations and coral stones.
