Illuseum Berlin, Interactive illusion museum in Mitte, Germany.
The Illuseum Berlin is a museum in Mitte dedicated to optical illusions, perception experiments, and interactive installations spread across themed spaces. Each room contains hands-on exhibits and visual effects that visitors can directly engage with and experience firsthand.
The museum opened in 2018 as part of the international Museum of Illusions network, bringing this concept to Berlin for the first time. Since then it has grown into an established cultural space near Alexanderplatz.
The space draws from works created by Berlin-based artists who explore perception as a form of expression. Visitors connect with this creative perspective through the environments they walk through and the events held throughout the year.
The museum is open daily and sits in a central location, easily accessible by public transit from Alexanderplatz and the surrounding area. Plan to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours walking through all the rooms and trying the interactive exhibits at your own pace.
Inside the museum sits the ILLULAB education space, where regular workshops allow visitors to explore the science behind how we perceive illusions. These sessions blend hands-on exploration with learning about how the brain processes visual information.
