Olympiabad, Swimming complex in Bruges, Belgium

The Olympiabad is a modern swimming center in Bruges with multiple pools for different purposes and varying depths. The facility includes water slides, a wild water course, and dedicated children's areas, so swimmers of all levels have options to choose from.

The original Olympiabad opened in 1978 and served the city of Bruges for decades. It was replaced in 2015 by this newer facility, which combines modern design with the same sporting traditions.

The facility is named after the Olympic Games and reflects the swimming culture that has been central to Bruges for generations. Visitors can see how the different pool types cater to everyone, from small children learning to swim to serious athletes training for competitions.

The facility is centrally located in Bruges and is easily accessible by public transport. Visitors should bring their own towels and swimming gear or plan to rent them on site, as options are limited.

The previous facility was famous for a 10-meter diving tower, one of the few still standing in Belgium at that time. This impressive diving platform attracted specialized divers from across the region.
