Summum Pyramid
Summum Pyramid is a concrete structure in Salt Lake City designed as a place for philosophical gatherings and spiritual meetings. The building features Brazilian quartz crystals at its apex and corners, creating a focal point for the organization's activities.
Claude Nowell founded the Summum religious organization in the 1970s following encounters with beings he called Summa Individuals who shared creation concepts. The pyramid was later built as a physical expression of this spiritual community's beliefs.
The structure blends Egyptian spiritual symbols with modern practices, functioning as a sanctuary where visitors experience ancient religious traditions in a contemporary setting. The space serves communities seeking alternative approaches to meditation and reflection.
The building offers opportunities to attend philosophical readings and discussions, which require advance reservation to participate. It is best to contact the organization ahead of time to learn about upcoming gatherings and availability.
The center offers specialized preservation services that blend techniques from ancient Egyptian traditions with modern methods. These practices reflect the community's spiritual understanding of life and transition.
