Dikeou Collection, Contemporary art museum in Downtown Denver, United States.
The Dikeou Collection sits on the fifth floor of a building on California Street in downtown Denver. Works from about 30 international artists in different mediums fill the space, showing a range of contemporary styles and approaches.
The collection was founded in 1998 by siblings Devon and Pany Dikeou, starting from their involvement with the New York publication zingmagazine. What began as a connection to that magazine network grew into an established museum space in Denver.
The exhibition 'Mid-Career Smear', curated by Cortney Lane Stell, represents the collection's focus on presenting established contemporary artists to Denver's community.
The space is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 AM to 5 PM, though visitors need to arrange a visit ahead of time by phone or email. Planning your visit in advance ensures you can access the location.
The museum runs an additional exhibition space called Dikeou Pop-Up on Colfax Avenue, spreading its artistic presence across different parts of the city. This second location extends the programming beyond the main downtown address.
