707 17th Street, Modern office building in Midtown Central Business District, Denver, United States
707 17th Street is a modern office building with 42 floors and black glass facades located in downtown Denver. The structure contains corporate offices in the upper levels and the Hilton Denver City Center hotel with around 600 rooms occupying the lower floors.
The building opened in 1981 as Denver's tallest structure at that time. In 1983, a nearby tower surpassed its height and took the top position in the city.
The building represents the evolution of Denver's commercial architecture, combining office spaces with a 613-room hotel in the lower twenty floors.
The building sits in central Denver and is easily accessible by public transit. Its mixed-use design with hotel and office spaces makes it convenient for both visitors and workers.
The structure features an unusual architectural design where it widens at the 21st floor instead of narrowing. This inverted form sets it apart from conventional skyscraper designs.
