Von Krahl Theatre, Independent theatre in Põhja-Tallinna, Estonia
Von Krahl Theatre is an independent theater in northern Tallinn with a 100-seat performance hall for productions. The building houses both the performance space and a shop, combining different cultural functions under one roof.
The theater was founded in 1992 when Peeter Jalakas and the Ruto Killakund theatrical group established this cultural institution. Since then it has become an important venue for contemporary artistic experimentation in Estonia.
The venue serves as a gathering place for contemporary artistic expression, drawing performers and audiences interested in experimental and innovative theatrical works. The spaces are used by actors, directors, and performers to explore new forms of theater.
The building is located at Rataskaevu 10 in central Tallinn and is easy to reach on foot. The small hall size creates a close setting for performances, so booking in advance is advisable.
The theater building combines an exhibition space with the performance area, where visitors can also purchase art objects and handcrafted items. This blend of performances and art retail makes each visit a more complete cultural experience.
