Golfanlage Velden Köstenberg spreads across rolling terrain with 18 holes set throughout varied landscapes, each designed to work with the natural contours of the land. The greens are positioned to create different challenges depending on where you are on the course.

The course opened in 1986 when Velden am Wörther See was expanding its recreational offerings for both visitors and residents. This marked a turning point in how the area developed as a destination for leisure activities.

The tenth hole drops sharply with roughly 95 meters of elevation change, providing views of the Karawanken mountains while presenting a significant test of skill. This dramatic descent makes it one of the most memorable holes on the entire course.
