One Mile Beach

The 1.3-kilometer stretch of sand curves southeast, featuring shallow tide areas bordered by Fingal Head and Moana Point in Tomaree National Park.

The beach developed into a recreational destination following the establishment of lifeguard patrols and the construction of essential facilities in the southern section.

Local surf clubs maintain regular beach patrols, educating visitors about water safety while monitoring swimming conditions between designated flag zones.

Visitors find amenities including parking spaces, showers, restrooms, and barbecue areas near the caravan park at the southern end of the beach.

Sand dunes rising 30 meters high extend 400 meters inland at the northern section, creating a natural barrier between the beach and surrounding landscape.
