Plage de la Vignasse

Plage de la Vignasse, Sandy beach in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France

Plage de la Vignasse is a sandy beach in Bormes-les-Mimosas that slopes gently toward the water with a mix of sand and pebbles throughout. The roughly 150-meter stretch features scattered pine trees along the shore and a small port on one side, while natural rock formations create varied areas along the coastline.

The beach formed alongside Bormes-les-Mimosas as the coastal village grew into a Mediterranean destination on the French Riviera starting in the 17th century. The small port adjacent to the sand served fishing and local maritime activity for centuries as part of the region's seafaring tradition.

The beach draws both visitors and local families who spend time swimming and exploring the shallow waters near the rocky areas. You will see people snorkeling along the coastline and resting beneath the scattered pine trees that dot the shore.

You can reach the beach by walking about 15 minutes along the coastal path from Cabasson, with parking available roughly 750 meters away. The gentle slope of the sand makes it easy to enter the water, and the scattered rocks nearby offer natural spots to explore or rest between swims.

The natural rock formations beside the sand have served as play areas for children for generations, with plenty of climbing and hiding spots. Adults often enjoy exploring and photographing these formations, which add an unexpected element of adventure to a simple beach visit.
