Plage des Esclamandes

Plage des Esclamandes is a public beach stretching about 600 meters along the Mediterranean coast near Fréjus, with fine sand throughout. Three artificial breakwaters divide the shoreline and create protected swimming zones with different characteristics.

The beach was reshaped in the late 20th century when protective structures were built to improve swimming safety. These barriers were designed to manage the effects of waves and create more stable coastal conditions.

Different sections here serve families, naturists, water sports fans, and those with pets, showing how the community shares this coastal space. Each area has developed its own character based on how people choose to use it.

Showers, restrooms, and equipment rental services are available along the beach, with parking near the entrance. Arriving early, especially during peak season, helps you find a comfortable spot and avoid crowds.

A designated kitesurfing zone exists where swimming is not allowed due to strong winds and large waves that develop here. This section shows how the beach manages different activities side by side without visitors interfering with each other.
