Salto Golf Club, Golf course in Salto, Uruguay.
Salto Golf Club is a 6-hole golf course set on wooded terrain with one par 5, three par 4s, and two par 3s arranged throughout the property. The design includes bunkers and penalty areas that create different challenges as players move through the layout.
The course was established in 1997 by two golf enthusiasts named Juan Albini and Gregorio Portela. The project took roughly 6 months to build from start to finish.
The club maintains strong ties with the local and national golf community, serving as a place where people from the region come to develop their abilities and connect with others who share their love of golf. It functions as a social hub that brings players together around a shared sport.
The course is located just a few minutes from downtown Salto and is open daily from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Professional instruction is available for those new to golf.
The layout incorporates natural woodland features into its design, giving the 6-hole property a distinctive character. This forest setting creates an appealing contrast to many other courses in the region.
