Golf de Servanes, Golf course in Mouriès, France
Golf de Servanes is an 18-hole course stretching 6049 meters through Provence, weaving between white rocks, lakes, and natural terrain at the base of the Alpilles mountains. The layout was designed to follow and respect the natural contours of this Mediterranean setting.
The course was designed in 1989 by architects Thierry Sprecher and Gery Watine as a Par 72 layout. Their work was guided by the principle of respecting the natural topography and Mediterranean environment.
The course blends with the regional landscape through native plants like thyme, lavender, and ancient olive trees that shape the area's character. These elements give the grounds their particular connection to Provençal nature.
The facility is open daily from 7:30 to 19:00 with equipment rentals, a practice range featuring 12 stations, and instruction from qualified professionals available. Visitors should bring water and sun protection, as the course is exposed and rolling with little shade.
The opening hole offers a preview of the entire experience, routing players through rocky formations and Mediterranean plants while facing the Alpilles mountain range ahead. This first hole already reveals the course's blend of natural landscape and deliberate design.
