This sculpture displays large letters in red and white positioned on the Musée des Confluences esplanade since 2015. The work was refreshed in 2025 with new colors and a lion design added to its surface.
The artwork was created in 2010 by ONLYON Tourism and Congress organization and originally stood at Place Bellecour. It was later moved to its current location on the museum esplanade.
The sculpture reflects how Lyon marks itself in public spaces, and since 2025 it has been redesigned through collaboration with young people with disabilities. This transformation shows how the city updates its symbols through community involvement.
The sculpture is freely accessible and located near the tram line T1 stop at Musée des Confluences. Note that official access information indicates limitations for wheelchair users in the area.
The recent redesign marked the first time young people with disabilities actively participated in reshaping a public artwork in Lyon. This collaboration between the artist and community members made it an example of how public art can be created through inclusive practice.
