Parfumerie Fragonard
Parfumerie Fragonard is a perfume factory and shop at the edge of the village of Èze on the French Riviera, where fragrances, soaps, and skincare products are made. The facility includes workshops where you can watch the process of fragrance composition, as well as a laboratory and retail space with a wide selection of products.
The factory was founded in 1968 and has maintained traditional methods like enfleurage while adapting to modern techniques such as carbon dioxide extraction. This balance between old and new practices has established the facility as a center of French perfume craftsmanship.
The name Fragonard connects to French perfume heritage and is recognized by visitors as a mark of skilled craftsmanship. The workshop is a place where you can watch perfumers at work, blending different scents using traditional methods that honor the art of fragrance creation.
Entry is free and no advance reservation is needed - just arrive and join one of the guided tours that run multiple times daily. The location is easy to reach by car with parking available in front of the building and is accessible throughout the year.
Perfumers work at a large wooden organ with all essential bottles arranged, composing fragrances like musicians create music by blending different notes such as woody, floral, and fruity. In a separate area, handcrafted soaps shaped like roses and ducks are made and scented with the same fragrances from the collection.
