SteelStacks, Tourist attraction in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, US

SteelStacks is an arts and events campus in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, built on the former grounds of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. The site includes several outdoor stages, the ArtsQuest Center, an open town square, and the preserved industrial structures of the old plant.

The Bethlehem Steel Corporation ran one of the country's largest steel plants on this site for over a century before the factory closed in 1995. In the years that followed, the land was cleaned up and gradually transformed into a public cultural campus.

The old blast furnaces serve as a backdrop for concerts and festivals held throughout the year on the grounds. In summer, families set up lawn chairs and blankets in front of the Levitt Pavilion to catch free outdoor shows.

The campus is located in the SouthSide neighborhood of Bethlehem and is easy to reach by car, with free parking available in several lots along First Street on most days. During festival weekends the site gets very busy, so arriving early is a good idea.

The Hoover Mason Trestle is a walking path built on a former railway that passes directly alongside the blast furnaces, giving a close-up view that few industrial sites can offer. The oldest of these furnaces first fired up in 1915, making it one of the oldest surviving structures of its kind in the region.
